Buddying up initiative

Overview

NHS England and NHS Improvement has set up a buddying initiative for acute trusts to share learning and best practice on the implementation of the Costing Transformation Programme (now known as the National Cost Collection) and we would like to invite you to take part.

As this is the first year that the submission of a standards compliant patient- level information and costing system (PLICS) dataset has been mandated for acute trusts, the buddying up initiative has been created to give an opportunity for providers which have greater experience of submitting PLICS data to share their expertise with less experienced providers, and for the less experienced providers to learn from them in turn. The benefits of volunteering for the initiative for both the more and less experienced trusts will include:

  • expanding your own knowledge in submitting standards compliant PLICS data
  • encourage shared learning and best practice between providers and neighbouring trusts
  • building your own professional networks
  • increasing awareness of costing.

We will aim to match a more experienced provider (previously an early implementer/road map partner) with a less experienced/new implementer, in the same locality and preferably with the same costing software supplier.

If you would be interested in volunteering for this initiative, please complete the following survey.
