Lead Employer Data Set Questionnaire

Overview

The National Doctors in Training Improvement Programme is committed to affect an improved experience for trainee doctors employed by Lead Employers from August 2019 onwards as they change host location. To achieve this, all Lead Employers have been invited to actively participate in the co-design, testing, evaluation and implementation of solutions that are designed to enable an effective and efficient rotation for trainee doctors.  This avoids unnecessary duplication releasing time to care for patients and capacity of the HR/Medical Staffing teams involved whilst benefiting all staff.

As part of our active engagement with Lead Employers it is helpful to establish and validate a core data set that can be used by the programme team to inform the design of solutions, for example to forecast costs associated with developing and implementing process end to end solutions.

A minimum data set for Lead Employers has been established using information from sources including ESR, HEE and the results from the Lead Employer Questionnaire circulated in February 2019. The purpose of this questionnaire is to complete the data set and validate the information already collected.

This information will be held securely and will not be shared with anyone outside of the NHS England and NHS Improvement and Health Education England programme team.   The data may be used on a collective basis to inform future commissions of ESR or HEE system enhancements.  Individual Trusts will not be identified through the use of this data unless explicit consent is sought and provided.
