In England, Gram-negative bloodstream infections (GNBSIs) are increasing despite the decreases seen in Meticillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) bloodstream infection and Clostridium difficile infections (CDI). The Government have therefore set an ambition to reduce healthcare associated GNBSI by 50% by 2020/21.
This questionnaire has been developed following feedback from a number of events held by NHS Improvement (NHSI) in 2017-18. Healthcare workers at these events indicated that access to evidence to reduce Gram-negative bloodstream infections is difficult to find.
