Closes 16 Mar 2020

Opened 10 Feb 2020

Overview

Dear Colleagues,

The National Patient Safety Team is asking for honest overview of how organisations use gauze swabs in theatres and related environments. There is concern that certain types of swabs may be used more widely than was originally intended.

Why We Are Consulting

We are seeking your help through answering the following questions to better understand the different types of gauze swabs and how they are used. Your responses will shed light on widespread practice with a potential for wider national learning.

This survey can be completed anonymously. We want to know what is happening in different organisations and not any particular organisation.
