Overview

NHS E/I are creating a core, national onboarding offer to board level and governing body very senior leaders, which will compliment local inductions and onboarding. It is anticipated that the offer will support board level leaders across commissioning and provider worlds and is also likely to include leaders appointed to Integrated Care Systems. A key part of the onboarding and support offer will be the offer of coaching and mentoring to people in this group.

The purpose of this short survey is to accumulate intelligence on what coaching and mentoring currently exists at exec level and to develop plans to close the gaps in current provision.  

Your views as regional coaching and mentoring leads will be very valuable in creating and aligning the coaching and mentoring offer as part of creating the very senior manager onboarding programme. 

We are discussing the development of the onboarding programme at a national Leadership Academy level and Charmaine Kwame, Head of Coaching at the Leadership Academy has also fed in.

We will share the results of this survey with you which will inform the development of the VSM onboarding offer.
